Delete your data

NestSafe is built so your vault stays on your device. This page explains how to delete data for the NestSafe app and related services operated by Napradha.

1. Delete vault data on your phone (most users)

  1. Open the NestSafe app.
  2. Delete individual items (documents, passwords, notes) inside the app, or go to Settings and clear profiles if available.
  3. To remove all local data: uninstall NestSafe from your Android device. This permanently deletes the encrypted vault on that device.

What is deleted: documents, passwords, notes, profiles, PIN hash, and thumbnails stored locally on that device.

What we keep: nothing from your vault — we never receive plaintext vault contents.

Retention: local data is removed when you uninstall or delete items. No extra retention period on your device.

2. Delete encrypted cloud backup (Family tier only)

If you enabled cloud backup, delete it from the app:

  1. Open NestSafe → Settings Backup.
  2. Delete or disable cloud backup for your account.

What is deleted: encrypted backup blobs in our cloud storage (we cannot read vault contents).

Retention: deleted within 30 days of your delete request or in-app deletion.

3. Delete waitlist email (nestsafe.app)

If you joined our launch waitlist, email us from the address you used:

privacy@nestsafe.app

Subject line: Delete my waitlist data. We will remove your email within 30 days.

4. Delete crash / analytics data

Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) contain stack traces only — not vault contents. To opt out: disable crash reporting in app settings if available, or email privacy@nestsafe.app with your request. Analytics identifiers are retained up to 14 months per Firebase defaults unless you request earlier deletion.

5. Request help deleting data

Email privacy@nestsafe.app with the subject Data deletion request. Include:

  • That you use NestSafe
  • Whether you use cloud backup or waitlist only
  • The email used for waitlist (if applicable)

We respond within 30 days and confirm what was deleted.
